🔐 Firewall, Proxy, and Antivirus Settings

Allow outgoing connections on ports 80 and 443 to the following domains:

Please ensure all related subdomains (child addresses) are also included.

🌐 Internet and Licensing Requirements

  • A stable internet connection is required.
  • Access to Amazon Web Services (AWS) must be allowed, as our licensing system validates via our AWS-hosted servers.

🧩 .NET Dependency

  • Ensure that .NET version 8 is installed on the system.

System requirements for AutoCAD Architecture 2026 and Revit 2026

Operating System

64-bit Microsoft® Windows® 11 and Windows 10 version 1809 or above. See Autodesk's Product Support Lifecycle for support information.

Processor:

Intel® or AMD® processor with 2 GHZ or higher base core clock speed.
Basic: 2.5–2.9 GHz processor (base) ARM Processors are not supported.
Recommended: 3+ GHz processor (base), 4+ GHz (turbo)

Highest single core base clock speed (GHz) is recommended
Autodesk® Revit® software products will use multiple cores for many tasks.

Memory

16-32 GB RAM
Basic: 16 GB
Recommended: 32 GB

  • Usually sufficient for a typical editing session for a single model up to approximately 300 MB on disk.
This estimate is based on internal testing and customer reports.
Individual models will vary in their use of computer resources and performance characteristics.
  • Models created in previous versions of Revit software products may require more available memory for the one-time upgrade process.

Video Graphic Card

Basic: 2 GB GPU with 29 GB/s Bandwidth and DirectX 11 compliant
Recommended: 8 GB GPU with 106 GB/s Bandwidth and DirectX 12 compliant

DirectX 12 with Feature Level 12_0 is required for or "Fast" visual styles to be enabled.
Please be sure to use the latest drivers from the video card manufacturer's website.

Note: AutoCAD uses your computer's display card for a variety of essential graphics operations including but not limited to view manipulation, line smoothing, and text/linetype generation.
It is recommended that you have a display card with dedicated VRAM to support these operations at optimal speeds.

Display Resolution

Conventional Displays:
1920 x 1080 with True Color

High Resolution & 4K Displays:
Resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (with "Recommended" display card)

Graphics:

DirectX 11‑compliant GPU with ≥ 2 GB VRAM and ~29 GB/s bandwidth

Disk Space

AutoCAD Architecture: 10.0 GB (suggested SSD)

Revit: 30 GB disk space for installation. 100 GB of free disk space for temp files recommended.

.NET Platform

.NET 8

Tips

  • Use SSD storage for improved model open/save speed.
  • Close unused views in Revit to improve performance.
  • Keep graphics drivers updated (especially NVIDIA Studio drivers if using RTX cards).

💾 Storage Requirements

Determining how much storage a company requires depends on several factors:

  • Size of models
  • Volume of production
  • Amount of data per production order (e.g., CNC data, shop drawings)

Storage can be broken down into three main categories:

1. Project Storage Data

This depends on the number of projects being stored over a given period (Project Volume).

Project Storage Data = Average Project Size × Project Volume
Project Size = (Average Model Size + Project Asset Size)

2. Production Data

This includes only active production orders.

Production Data = Number of Active Production Orders × Project Size

3. Archived Data

For sizing purposes, archived data is considered uncompressed.

Archived Data = Project Size × Number of Archived Projects

📁 Archiving policies can affect the total volume, and further archiving of archived data may also be considered based on retention strategies.

Revit Server 2026

Operating System

2.0 GHz or faster x 64
4 – 8 cores

  • Microsoft® Windows Server® 2022 64-bit
  • Microsoft® Windows Server® 2019 64-bit

Minimum: Windows Server 2016 or greater.

Recommended: The latest or a recent version of Windows Server.

Memory

Minimum: 8GB

Recommended: 32GB or more.

Disk Space

  • hsbMake software requires 1GB of disk space.
  • Project Storage - depends on size of projects. (see 'Project Data Sizing' section).
  • Production Asset Data - depends on size of projects. (see 'Project Data Sizing' section).
  • SQL Server – see hardware and software requirements

Software

Minimum: SQL Server 2016 Express                                                      .NET Framework 4.7.2

Recommended: The latest version of SQL Server Standard               .NET Framework 4.8 or above

NOTE: Using a virtual server environment is recommended. This provides greater flexibility for:

  • Updates
  • Backups
  • Business continuity
